Sean F. Monahan is one of six candidates running for a three-year term on the Toms River Regional Board of Education. (Shutterstock and Sean F. Monahan) TOMS RIVER, NJ — As Election Day 2019 nears, Patch is sharing profiles of the candidates for local office.

The Toms River Regional Board of Education has three, three-year terms on the ballot for 2019. Six candidates are vying for the seat representing Toms River. Two are vying to represent Beachwood, and two are vying to represent Pine Beach.

Sean F. Monahan is one of the six candidates for the Toms River seat. Also seeking the Toms River seat are Lisa Natale-Contessa, Kathleen Eagan, Jeffrey Dingsor, Wendell J. Ferandos, and Brian M. Quinn.

Anthony J. Trump and Kevin Kidney are vying for the Pine Beach seat, and Melissa Morrison and Alex Mizenko are seeking the Beachwood seat.

Age: 49 Employment: I am a Certified Financial Planner and own a financial planning office located in Toms River. I have been in business for 17 years. Prior to that, I graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a secondary education teaching degree.
