Camilla Rozkowski Lentini of Newington was born on December 17, 1924 to Polish immigrant parents in New Britain Connecticut. The middle child of 5, Camilla and her 3 sisters and one brother survived the poverty, hardships and deprivation of life during the Depression years. Thanks to a powerful sibling bond, determination and strong work ethic, Camilla graduated from high school and earned her secretarial credentials. She worked as a stenographer and secretary for Tuttle and Bailey and married Michael A Lentini of New Britain in 1947. After marriage she continued her secretarial position those first years to enable her husband to achieve his electronics technician license within four years. Their work as a team was evident from day one of the marriage. After Mike completed his studies, the couple rented a small store on Winthrop St. in New Britain and began a TV repair business which later grew into Lentini Communications in Newington in 1976. Throughout those years Camilla continued her role as office manager from their home as the family grew with the birth of their four children. She was the quintessential”multi-tasker” as she nurtured and created a loving home, partnered in the business, and maintained strong ties with extended family. She will always be remembered with great fondness and affection by those who crossed her path. And we will always be reminded of her endearing sense of humor, keen wit, and inquisitive mind.
